On December 23, Sinotruk, in conjunction with CATL and Bashu Logistics, took the lead in establishing a new energy high-speed corridor logistics in China. The operation of battery-swap vehicles on the Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway is of milestone significance for developing full-scenario applications of new energy vehicles and also demonstrates Sinotruk’s leading advantages in new energy vehicles!
Tech Breakthroughs, Solving Bottlenecks in Mountainous Corridor Transportation

The Sichuan–Chongqing–Hubei section winds through towering mountains, with steep slopes, sharp curves, and complex terrain, posing severe tests for the endurance, stability, and energy replenishment efficiency of electric heavy-duty trucks. To address this, the project innovatively adopted the Qiji chassis battery-swap technology: the low center of gravity design improves the driving stability of the vehicle on rough roads, and the supporting battery-swap stations can achieve efficient battery swapping in 5 minutes, maintaining reliable energy replenishment even in extreme weather conditions. This combination of hardcore technologies effectively solves the pain point of energy replenishment for new energy heavy-duty trucks in transportation, laying a solid foundation for the efficient operation of corridor logistics.
Thousand-Unit Agreement, Jointly Opening a New Era of Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement

In the presence of all participating guests, representatives of Sinotruk and Bashu Logistics formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 1,000 chassis battery-swap heavy-duty trucks. The 1,000 heavy-duty trucks under this agreement, including the first batch of 200 delivered vehicles, will be put into operation as pioneering transportation capacity in the Sichuan–Chongqing region and surrounding areas to verify the economy and feasibility of electric heavy-duty trucks in corridor logistics. This agreement is not only a link for deepening cooperation between the two parties but also demonstrates their firm determination to jointly promote the large-scale development of green logistics.
First Batch Departs, Green Fleet Heads for the Thousand-Mile Corridor

During the vehicle delivery session, representatives of Sinotruk handed over the golden key symbolizing trust to representatives of Bashu Logistics. With the sound of the departure order, the first batch of 200 electric heavy-duty trucks drove into the Shanghai–Chengdu corridor in an orderly manner, officially undertaking the mission of green transportation.
Win-Win Benefits, Synchronous Improvement of Economy and Ecology

The one-way length of the Sichuan–Chongqing–Hubei section of the Qiji battery-swap Shanghai–Chengdu corridor is 1,250 kilometers, which is currently the longest new energy heavy-duty truck battery-swap corridor in China. Operational data shows that the per-kilometer operating cost of electric heavy-duty trucks is about RMB 0.62 lower than that of fuel-powered vehicles. A single vehicle traveling 100,000 kilometers a year can increase income by nearly RMB 60,000. The ecological benefits are also significant: 12 bidirectional battery-swap stations built along the entire line can achieve a daily battery-swapping capacity of 360,000 kilowatt-hours, with an expected annual emission reduction of more than 40,000 tons, equivalent to planting nearly 3 million trees, truly realizing a double harvest of economic and environmental benefits.
Facilitating the Implementation of National Strategies
This connectivity is not only a demonstration of Sinotruk’s products and technologies but also a successful practice of the “vehicle-battery synergy, network-vehicle linkage” model. In the future, Sinotruk will continue to work with industry partners to build a green logistics ecosystem, create a cross-regional “low-carbon logistics corridor,” and inject vigorous momentum into the construction of a transportation power.
