On the afternoon of January 3, Hunan Iron & Steel Group and Shandong Heavy Industry Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan. Li Jianyu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hunan Iron & Steel Group, and Tan Xuguang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Chairman of Weichai Group and Chairman of SINOTRUK, held discussions and signed the agreement.
Li Jianyu said that Shandong Heavy Industry Group is a banner of Chinas equipment manufacturing industry, with diverse businesses leading the industry. In the years of reform, innovation and development, it has formed a set of unique and replicable model experiences, which is an example for Hunan Iron & Steel Group to learn from. Li hoped that both parties can strengthen communication and cooperation, tap into the potential for cooperation, and work together to achieve higher-quality development.
Tan Xuguang said that Hunan Iron & Steel Group is an excellent representative of the steel industry, and Shandong Heavy Industry Group has strong complementarity and good foundation for cooperation with Hunan Iron & Steel Group. Tan hoped that both parties can expand cooperation in material procurement, product R&D and industrial development, to build core competitive advantages and jointly lead the industrys transformation and upgrading.
